About the Bookworm

I love books: the feel of them, the smell, the art that goes into getting something printed.
I love libraries, bookshops, bookmarks, talks about books, receiving book recommendations, ah, books. And sometimes I want to discuss a book or share a find and there’s nobody around. Thankfully, the internet always has people around to listen, read, discuss and share. So: hello! Nice of you to stop by.

I am a living, reading, writing mistake-making human being of the bookworm type. I am not a bot, nor do I use AI on this blog. I’d rather have a grammar or spelling error show then be perfect because perfection is boring. And if you laugh at a mistake, well, at least I got you laughing.
If for some unforeseen reason AI would be used, it will be indicated as such.

Also, this is a fully independent blog. I do not read books because I’m asked to by a publisher or author. I only write out of enthusiasm for books, of wanting to share my findings. I am not sponsored or funded in any way and the books I read and write about are either borrowed from the library with my own library card, bought with my own money, or received as gifts or loans from my wonderful friends and family. If any of this were to change, it will be clearly indicated as such.

Do you have reading suggestions? Questions? Thoughts to share? Feel free to reach out! Kindly note that comments on blog entries will automatically get published so if you wish to remain anonymous you should consider a screenname that does not give personal details away. Or if you want to keep things between us, you can reach out to me via email: bookworm@bookworminthecity.com

Happy readings!
